In a month or so, I'll be thinking about weaning my baby. I'm really looking forward to it, a new exciting chapter!

Can anyone recommend a good book with tips and recipes etc? Want to get this right!

I got a free Ella's Kitchen weaning book when I signed up to boots parenting club. Worth a look?

I liked the Baby Led Weaning approach, there's a good book by Gill Rapley with the same title (and a recipe book which has some of the theory if you prefer).

What book you might choose depends on the approach you want to take (and what approach baby decides you're taking)

But i never bought a book, just cooked our usual things without salt and made sure veg soft etc

I used Pinterest. There are so many brilliant recipes, I then transposed them into my own little book once I had tested them and knew they were nice. I never cooked before my DS came along, now I'm baking and cooking all sorts ...I love it

I also went on a baby first aid course and the got chatting about weaning as choking was a big kart if it, they shown us photos of toddlers teeth that had needed extracting and said Ella kitchen pouches contain above the recommended amount of sugar for babies. And most processed things on the baby isle are not actually great for babies with sugar and salt levels. A rusk has the same amount of sugar as a bottle of Lucazade
I know no one mentioned using that product but just thought I would pass on what they said, as before I started to wean, I assumed everything in the baby isle in the supermarket would be below the recommended levels..
