Lo has had tongue tie which had been cut today and had more advice from the hospital on latch and I feel baby is now getting into a better position for a good latch however he keeps fighting against going on the boob basically and I'm not sure why. Any advice?

I’m sorry I can’t offer any advice but just wanted to say that if you’re on FB the Can I Breastfeed In It Support page is really good and reply really quickly.

When we had my son's tie cut he would only feed lying down for 2 or 3 days afterwards, it really stressed me out! But it felt completely different for him and he had to adjust to the new ways his you've could move and how that felt which was probably really stressful for him too!

It settled down after a few days as we both got used to our new feeding situation. I hope it settles down quickly for you too!

I'd do a 24 hour "baby moon" with loads of skin to skin and relaxed interactions. Definitely try feeding laying down, or lay back on a bunch of pillows so you are reclining in a comfortable position and baby can latch without fighting against gravity. Take every opportunity to offer the breast - sometimes a dream feed works when baby is refusing the breast. Good luck to you both, tongue tie is hard!!

When my LO had his cut it was worse for a couple of days but then by a week later it was amazing. LO is just re-learning. Good luck OP Smile
