Freezer containers for toddlers?

Hi, anybody know of any good toddler size portion food containers suitable for freezing? Or just ordinary ramekins? I want to make ds mini cottage pies, fish pies and that sort of thing.

I used to do a big pie or whatever it is, wait for it to cool, cut into portions and just use whatever tupperware/takeaway containers I had! For reheating, I only have one small ovenproof dish, so the position would then go in there (or microwaved directly from the plastic container...!)

To me, "just let them have what you're having" is like "sleep when the baby sleeps". Yeah, cheers for that (!)

Exactly bear my dm used to love to say ‘sleep when the baby sleeps.’ I thought when during the 30 min catnap he’ll take how does it work! I need to buy some more containers in general because I have some suspect family members who haven’t returned them after i’ve given them various baked goods.

I used ramekins as I can then defrost and put in oven (I also make individual DH size portions in bigger containers to freeze as I don't eat meat or fish).

I got my Mum to clear out any old ramekin bowls she had, as it doesn't matter if they don't match anything else, and also kept an eye open in charity shops.

Ramekins are great as they are the perfect size for toddler meals. I've correctly got ramekin meals in the freezer- shepherd's pie, cottage pie, fish pie, chicken pie.

Bare - yes that’s absolutely fine 😀 I was just riled up by the poster who felt the need to respond to the OPs perfectly normal idea by saying the Mumsnet classic line “why don’t you just give him what you’re having”. I was just pointing out there’s loads of reasons why you’d want to do this and the OP hadn’t asked “should I batch cook for my toddler or feed him what I’m eating”. It annoys me that people feel the need to be so patronising

Oh and Lakeland and sistema both do small rectangle tubs that are great for toddler sizes and also are great for taking the contents of one of the larger spice packets from the world food aisle. Label with masking tape and a sharpie.

Am I the only person who read the title and thought the OP wanted advice on containers to put toddlers in to go in the freezer?
I mean I know it's hot but I think putting your toddler in a container in the freezer might be a bit off...

When I read the toitle my immediate thought was "You can't put children in freezers!"

I'll get m'coat... Grin

Oh good, glad I wasn't the only one

Thanks everyone. All the recommendations have really helped I’ve found a set of 4 freezable microwave diswasher safe ramekins for £2 in Wilkinson’s and ordered two sets. Also seen a set of 4 bpa free microwave dishwasher save tubs with lids for £1 so ordered two sets of those as well! I’ll be well stocked up now.

Riding those are all of the kinds of meals I want to freeze for ds and ramekins look the perfect size and thought I can also use them to make some cheeky little puds from time to time. Jelly and mrsmozart you both have made me have a good giggle. Truth be told I almost phrased the title freezer for toddlers then realised only dodgy i phone I’d missed out containers! Never thought to put food in there as well, I can totally see how shady it looks lol. Smile

Stormy i’ll check those out as my spice cupboard needs a serious tidy. Also love Lakeland and sistema and I can never have too many containers!
