About Weenees...

I've just bought a Weenees to try out. I love the way it looks on dd, very tidy indeed.

When I take it off her, even after an hour, she has very deep, red marks, quite sore looking, where the poppers (where the pocket snaps onto the pant at the front) have been digging into the front of her hips. Has anyone else found this? Is there a way around it?
I don't think it's too tight as I loosened it tonight to the extent that it was gaping at the waist, but still the marks. Such a shame, as I love the idea and the nappy.

Also, what do you find best to stuff them with?

do you mean cotton weenies pouch pants. I used them with ds3 and didn't ever get that. I used bambino mio prefolds (you didn't buy them - on the sly- from ebay dd you- if so you may have got them from me).

If the poppers are metal, it could be an allergic reaction. I've used clear nail polish to cover metal studs on chefs jackets before, but not sure how that would hold up on nappies!

No, didn't buy them from e-bay! Yes, I mean Weenies cotton pouch pants (did I spell it wrong?).

No, the poppers are plastic looking, def not metal. But they are right up against the skin with no fabric or anything in-between and the marks are quite deep in dd's skin.

No-one else found this?

Never heard of that problem - I assume you are putting them on the right way round with the velcro doing up at the back

Weenees pouch pants do come up quite small but not so small to leave marks - very strange

Just looked on the internet and I didn't spell it wrong! I mean Weenees pouch pants by Eenee Designs (Aussie bunch). Is that the same as Weenies?

I am definitely putting them on the right way round and on the right end and they are the right size! They look so scrummy on dd... Maybe I'll have to fiddle with the fit a bit more, if no-one else is getting the same problem.

Any more thought on the best stuffings? How useful are the eco-pads, before I splash out?

Just checking

Yes they are weenees/weenies by eenees!

I would suggest the weenee microfibre cloths or small prefolds - reg prefolds are just a bit on the big side. The weenee pads are handy but I found they scrunched up between the legs a bit.

In fact ds2 didn't get on with them at all - he regularly managed to wee straight out the side

But they are lovely and very cute ...

I've got some of the flushable, compostible pads left over. If you want some email me [email protected]
