Hi all,

Have been using a Maxi Cosi cabriofix for my LO until now, the base for this is going in Husbands car with a Maxi Cosi pearl - as mothercare sold us the family fix and not the 2 way fix base 🤦‍♀️ Just wondered if anyone has got the Cosy n Safe Merlin seat and if they recommend it? I'd like a 360 seat&have looked at the Joie, but it doesn't fit in my A4 properly 😞Any advice very gratefully received!! x

How old is your baby? If he/she is 9mo, he/she's very young for the Pearl. Rear facing is far safer for any age, but especially important in the early years.

You need to look at the height and weight centiles they're following. If they're due to be less than 18kg at 4 years old, then an 18kg seat would be fine. Otherwise you would be better going for 25kg seats. My two would outgrow an 18kg seat at 2.5yrs and just after 3 so no good for us!

If the seats of your A4 are quite slopes, you would be better looking at seatbelt fitted seats- the Joie Stages for an 18kg seat, the Axkid Minikid or Britax Two Way Elite for 25kg seats. You'll get a much better fit with them.

We've had a Britax Two Way Elite for a while now and love it! It is fixed by seat belt and also easy to fit, move between vehicles if you need to.
