Can my mum take my child to the doctors?

My daughter has had a cough for the past few days and I was going to take her to doctors on Tuesday when I’m off work but my mum has offered to take her tomorrow, will that matter? Are grandmas allowed to take the baby to the doctors?

I know that’s a stupid question but maybe not!

My sister has taken my daughter to a doctor's appointment before because I was at work. It was fine. Smile

what I would suggest if your mum takes care of your dc regularly is to type & signa note to say she has your permission to give permission for medical treatment that your child requires - as sometimes (!) there can be a question - particularly important if you dc has a fall or something & needs an xray (dare I be sexist & say this is relevant to ds who tend to do more sport & play injuries than dd - having had both &only 1 dd had 1 accident whilst ds needed a season ticket to a & e!!! where I use to regularly meet other mums with their ds in summer holidays!!!)
