Hello all,
My LG is nearly 11 months, very active crawling, pulling herself trying to stand but compared to other babies she's very lean and looks very long because of this. She's in the 8th percentile for weight and 61st percentile for height. I'm a FTM and worrying as she's not chunky like other babies I see, plus she's still not eating much meal wise and hoping this will change when she's goes to nursery.
She was also born on the 50th percentile so has dropped a bit.
So does anyone have smaller babies and feel the same when out and about? All the babies in my NCT group are huge Confused

My friends baby was so underweight and slim that they referred her to a specialist hours away although she was eating very well. The consultant did some tests (baby was healthy, just very slim) but then remarked that both parents were a bit underweight so it wasn't actually a surprise that the baby had a really slim build too.

So what are you like? Because your baby might just take after the family?

I have a smallish baby, weight 9/25th centile but length 50th. Im from a family of small babies and even my 6 foot husband wasn't a big baby.

Talking to my mum I there used to be a lot more negativity with small babies. She was pressured to force feed use huge quantities of milk most of which was thrown up and we were on solids at a very young aged compared with babies today. My mother was even accused of smoking when pregnant.

@SnuggyBuggy that's awful for your poor mum. I've I'm struggling with my little ones weight because she barley eats a thing, but understandably she may always have a small appetite x
