Ideas of what to do in this heat?

I have a 15 month old and just started the summer holidays. All the baby groups in the area have closed down now for the summer and I am 6 months pregnant and suffering from really bad pelvic girdle pain. Don't have the car during the week. Any ideas on what to do?

Freaking out about 6 weeks ahead! The park is too hot atm and the garden is unbearable in the afternoons.

When DD was a toddler all those years ago, I would give her water play if it was too hot (living in Australia where summers are hot).

This could be playing outside in the shade under the sprinkler, or pouring water in and out of saucepans, playing in a blowup pool, playing with water in spray bottles, blowing bubbles for them, giving her a bucket of water, making cups of "tea" with a little teaset, watering the garden, or even putting a little water into the bath for cool indoor play.

Have fun, toddlers are the best!

Love the teacups idea! Thanks 😁 We did bring the paddling pool inside the other day because our garden has no shade at all. We have umbrellas etc but doesn't touch it. We go in garden straight away in morning to play or early morning park trip and then inside activities in afternoon. Going to venture into museums etc too. I am loving playing with him though. It's quite cool atm so he's playing with chalk on patio whilst it's still shady!
