For your own children, or others?

I've bought them for children in the family and my own LO but as little surprises not presents. My LO has their birthday coming up and I've found one of the toys she likes but it's second hand - would it make me look really tight? It's their 1st birthday so really I don't think they'll mind!!

My best ever bargain was a black sack full of thomas the tank engine trains. Track and station from a charity shop. £1!!!!!

I got home and added it up to over £150 worth of stuff. I felt bad for the shop so went and donated £20 as they clearly didnt realise its value.

Dd played with it for years. We still have it in the loft somewhere.

Always for my children who are 5 and 2.
I've already got two puzzles hidden away ready for my daughter for Christmas who will be 6 by then from freebay.
