Hello all,

I was just wondering if anyone could give me any tips as to what presents are perfect for first birthdays? I have twins that will be one soon and I am at a bit of a loss of what to get as they already have a lot of toys however they are growing out of them.

Thanks :)

Walker if they are close to walking?

DS will be one in a couple of months. I think we're just going to get a lot of duplo. He might be a it young for it initially but figured it's something he can play with for a few years and can always add to his collection

My LO is 1 in a couple of weeks also, I have been advised to get a 5 in 1 trike, my mummy mates said their kids used them until they were about 3 yrs old. Think this will be a little pressie for my DS

Happy BD!! Smile

I also want to recommend smarTrike. I have the smarTfold 500 and it's absolutely perfect... I got it for my niece last year She never wanted to go in her stroller again!!! now she is 2 and she enjoys the pedals so much!!! she doesn't know how to ride a bike yet but she is on the way...
\its mostly fab because it was perfect for her when she was one and it is still great now she's 2

We went with smart trike too.

Another who loves duplo - we add a different set every birthday/Christmas and it gets played with lots.
We went for garden toys (slide and water tray) as she has a May birthday and loves being outside - they are still being played with regularly over a year later.
With twins I’d be cautious of bing things - our house is full and dd is only 2!

Big not bing (bloody rabbit)

we got the smart trike aswell it's a really good buy in my opinion. Other options could be garden toys / little slide / tent with tunnel a tipi, sandpit, paddling pool A pass to a attraction they enjoy e.g. farm place

DS has a smart trike (we bought it second hand and it was like new). He uses it more than the pushchair if we are popping to the shops or walking to the park.

He also had a Plum Toddler Tower which is a little swing and slide set.

Thank you all for the suggestions I will look at getting the boys some duplo. I will also look at the option of a trike again, I had considered this but would need to get a twin trike as I wouldn’t be able to push both trikes if I was out with them and not sure there are any good twin trikes out there?

We have a few of the toys people already suggested such as Walker and activity centre ect they were bought for their birthday many months ago but we found that they grew into them much sooner.

What about little tykes or equivalent coupe sit and walk cars they would be a bit small for them now but by 18 months onwards really enjoy them

How about a sand and water table? My son loved his!
