DD has just leaned to roll over from back to front. She can't yet roll back and what's worse is she is showing no signs of even wanting to. She is 3.5 months.

She has taken to rolling over in the night and ending up on her stomach and then getting upset and screaming the house down. I hen turn her over and she does it as soon as I go over, later straight away!

Day 2 of absolutely NO SLEEP not even a few winks.

I feel dreadful, so scared I'm going to make a mistake because I have had no sleep at all.

Not to mention I'm petrified of her being on her front at night anyway as she is right in the peak time doe SIDS.

Please tell me someone else has gone through this too...and how long did it last?!

I think lots of us have gone through it and I also think you’re right to turn her back as well. And yes, it does pass, DC1 is a teen now and I haven’t had to roll him back for very long time Smile

DD has colic early on so had little sleep, but since that cleared up about at about 2.5 months she has been sleeping a little better.

This sudden sleep regression has hit me like a tonne of bricks. She's worse at sleeping now than when she was a newborn!

Glad to hear you aren't still having to roll DC @JiltedJohnsJulie Grin

My DS started this a few weeks ago around 4.5 months right on the day we transitioned to his own cot in his own room. Absolute nightmare! For the first week he hated being stuck on his tummy so it was a constant battle to roll him back every 5 mins both day and night. He is now a lot more used to it and doesn’t complain as much. I too was so worried about him sleeping on his front that every time he woke up I would roll him back however this past week I have just gone in to give him his dummy back and left him on his front. His head control is really good though and he is obviously older than your little one. He has an apnoea alarm so I’m not sure if you have anything like that for some peace of mind?

I've just read my OP back and half of it sounds like nonsense - glad you managed to decipher it..,blame it on sleepiness!

I had a feeling it wouldn't just be me in this situation! I was thinking I would roll her back until 4m as I read the SIDS risk goes down a little at 4m but I think it will kill me to stay awake like this until then.

As a last resort I've put her down to sleep against the side of the cot, on her back, as she can only roll one in one direction. I feel so evil I can hear her throwing her legs at the bars in her grobag wondering why she can't roll over and making such frustrated grunts ☹️

I know she will shuffle her way back to the middle of the cot soon but it's just given me an hour of sleep at least!

I feel like when she does tummy time all she wants to do is try to crawl, no interest in flipping belly to back atm, I hope she tries it soon!

I've got an angel care monitor, which does definitely ease my mind! Just still worried about the face planting!

This is what my son has been doing too, though he is nearly 7 months old so is probably a lot more mobile than your bubba. He rolls into his front allllll the time throughout the night and then cries. I’ve tried leaving him to let him turn back as I know he can do it, but as he’s tired he just cries for me even more and at that time in the night you just want the crying to stop! It’s constant through the night, hopefully it’s just a phase and something that will pass. But I’m literally praying for the day he sleeps through the night soon 😩 I don’t think there’s much we can do, just ride it out and know it will pass eventually. But I feel you I’m a knackered zombie half of the time 😂😂

Crikey user I sure hope this phase stops before 7 months or I'll have gone full on fight club and will be hallucinating through exhaustion!

It's something that none of the baby books o read mentioned and none of my friends or relatives seem to remember their babies doing this so was worried my baba was some kind of anomaly!

If you manage to crack it please let me know!!

😂😂sorry I didn’t give you much hope! Well I’m currently away in wales with family for the week and my son has been Sharing a bed with me as the cot they had didn’t look very safe, and he’s slept like a dream?! So I’m not sure if it’s a comifrot thing and them wanting to know that we’re there.obviously I don’t want to carry on with this when IM home I’ll want him in his own cot but just a thought!
