I've not long had a baby with my boyfriend of 1 year. He already has an 8 year old who lives with us full time. I love his 8 year old like I love my own but I'm having a really difficult time with my post-natal body. (Dreaded stretch marks everywhere!!) I hate the way I look at the minute even though I have lost most of the baby weight (partly because it was mostly baby) anyway, an ex boyfriend of mine owns a gym and I started last Saturday because he said he'd help me as I'm quite embarrassed by it. Anyway, I felt more comfortable when I was sweating with my ex than I do if I was to get naked around my partner! I don't get naked in front of him, we have had sex since having our baby but I demand the lights to be off and to be covered by the blanket no matter how hot it is. I don't have feelings for my ex, however I do still find him attractive. And he was flirting hard!! I'm 22, is there anything that could help me feel more confident around my partner or will I feel like this forever? We haven't really been getting on at the minute so I don't know if it's because I hate the way I look or if it's because we're better off separating to benefit both children. No child needs to be in an environment where their parents are arguing most of the time.

Not entirely sure what your question is tbh.
You’ve just had a baby, you love your partners 8yr old like your own baby, you hate your body, you’re going to the gym that’s owned by an ex who is flirting with you, you don’t like letting your partner see you naked and you’re arguing. That it?
You have just had a child with a bloke that you’ve only been with for 12 months, not being funny but a baby takes 9 of those to grow and you’re now talking about splitting up for the kids benefit?
Not trying to be unkind here but you sound very confused about your situation. Do you fancy your ex and want validation?

Find a different gym.
