Parents' evening

So dilemma.....

My boys, reception and year 3 have both had lovely end of year reports,
no issues, no concerns with the school etc.

Parents' evening for both is drop in, not compulsory etc.

So would you go? It would mean leaving work early AGAIN to hear what? Doing well, no concerns etc. But, if I don't will the teacher think their parents don't care or support the school.

WWYD?

Our letter states that it’s only if you have a problem or issue.

I teach, much older children. It's nice to meet the parents, but if I have no concerns and have said all I need to in the report, parents evening can be a little pointless. I also understand that a lot of people have work. I miss a lot of things at my son's school because I am at work.

Is it the kind of parents evening where you go with the child? If it was then I would go. If not then just take the boys some where to celebrate their hard work.

Could you write a note to the teachers explaining that as you have no concerns or questions you won't be attending parents evening?
