Travel System

I've been to a number of pram shops now and I'm more confused each time I go so I thought I'd ask people's opinions and reviews on their travel systems. And also the price range of them... it seems to vary so much! Thanks for your help in advance!

I think it depends what you will mainly be using it for. Is it for travelling on public transport, long walks on different terrains etc. We looked at a lot of travel systems and the main thing for us was the weight of them and having to get it in and out of our car. If you haven’t already definitely go out and have a play with different styles and how they work. We have the Venicci and paid £750 for ours however they start off at £550 depending on materials you want. We can’t fault ours, folds easily, great to push and baby finds it comfortable. The other thing which we didn’t consider before hand was the size of the carry cot in terms of how much room the baby has. Luckily the venicci has a big carry cot and with our long baby it has lasted until 4.5 months. He can still fit in it now just that he is too nosey to want to be laying down. I know friends with the icandy and there is no way we would have got as much use out of the carry cot as it is smaller.
Depending on when your baby is due I’m not sure if there are any baby shows in your area as this is where you will probably find the widest selection to compare different types?

Hope this helps, sorry for rambling!

Thank you for your response, this is very helpful. Baby is due in December so we have a bit of time to decide. We won't need it for public transport or walks off the usual pathways. I have a fairly small boot in my car so I suppose this will need to be factored in too! That's also a good idea to go to baby shows! X

I felt like this too so in the end I stopped asking staff for advice and just played around with them, did my own research etc. I found ones that were recommended to me just weren't what I wanted or my style. Also when you're out and about look at people's prams and see what you like and ask them what they think. Have a small amount of criteria you need and go by that, for example I'm tall so I found a lot of them were quite low, I needed all terrain for wood walks, plenty of shopping space, good seat size as I noticed by observing a lot of the popular ones babies looked squished into them and I wanted one to last me longer. I have the cosatto wow and I love it its really sturdy and compact enough and everytime I've seen a baby in it they don't look squished in. I also chose it then kept checking around for online deals for a few weeks and eventually it came up I got the whole travel system with car seat and cosy toes for 500 when it in total usually cost nearly a grand!
