Best highchair for big babies in small spaces?!

DS is 3 months so I'm a bit ahead of myself, but I'm keen to buy a highchair whilst the summer sales are on. Can anyone recommend a good'un? I have a small kitchen but a very big baby (98th percentile - over 8kgs at 13 weeks) so I'm trying to find a highchair that's both compact and yet roomy enough in the seat that he will be comfortable. Ideally, it would be great to find a chair that folds so I can shove it out of the way, but not essential.

Would love your thoughts!

Not sure about the chairs as such because I've only ever use the basic IKEA highchair for my children, But the folder travel ones that are like a booster seat that straps to a dining chair are brilliant. I imagine there will be some with shoulder straps, Which might work and then you wouldn't have a need a full highchair at all maybe?

Ooh, I haven't seen those! Definitely worth a look, thank you!

I think the best one is the ikea one. You can get a inflatable insert for when they are small but it is roomy. You can get a table to attach or not. The legs come off very easily if you want to store it and the whole lot can go in the dishwasher if you fancy it. It's also cheap.

Massive baby in tiny hobbit-sized house here, too!

We used a bumbo for a bit (second hand on eBay) - I think he outgrew it around 7 months (thighs for days, my boy!). Now we use the ikea antilop highchair mentioned above. It’s not that compact up, but really easy to take the legs off if we need it out the way and it’s roomy and so easy to clean. And cheap.

We live in a tiny flat and used the Mamas and Papas snug initially, then moved to the BabyBjorn - it folds very compactly and it's very stylish and with no straps it's clever and easy to clean. It's pricey so we got ours secondhand for £70 but I expect it to hold its value and sell for the same price. We'll see how long it lasts for as DS is unusually tall but I'm really happy with the seat.

We also have a chicco pocket snack that you can strap on to a chair and this is great too, but I prefer our BabyBjorn.

We live in a tiny flat and actually find the antilopes footprint is quite big. We love the Stokke which fit in better in a small space and is shorter.

Have a look at "Handysitt" we loved ours. Always loads on eBay

Thank you all for your suggestions - lots for me to investigate!
