How many pushchair /prams do you own?

Hi all

I currently have a bugaboo cameleon. Baby is 4 months only. We’re due to be travelling a bit so am thinking about buying a pushchair for travels.

Is this too extravagant?

How many pushchairs do you own?
Any travel buggies to recommend? That you can take up to the plane?

Thanks

We got a pushchair as well, it's lighter easier to take places, quite a cheap one. It's a Zeta City but I'm sure any light pushchair with a sun cover would do. We travelled on the plane with it, no issues. Babies usually have their own allowance for pushchair and carseat. I think it was done by number of large essential items for baby (2 or 3?) rather than weight but best to check with your particular airline.

We have a mountain buggy urban jungle for every day, running, camping, walking etc. Bought it as a good all rounder for our lifestyle. However it's to bulky for plane, doesn't fit in Granny's car and is too heavy for her to lift so this weekend we bought a haick speed plus so she can take DS out and we can use it on holiday. Really recommend. £60ish from Amazon, free delivery on prime and includes raincover, basket and hood, it lies flat and seems v comfy. Easy to use and light for grandparents if that's a consideration. It's not a patch on our mountain buggy, but then that was ten times the price and is designed for something else altogether!

Where are you travelling to? I have one but it's in the loft as both my children hate it so they go in a sling.

Are your specifications that it's light, needs a basket to carry things or that it's small?

We have a silver cross pop and a larger pram style one.

The buggy is great for cars and when travelling. I prefer the pram when leaving from home because it can forward face.

One. We bought a Stokke. Added a buggy board for DD1 when DD2 arrived. It's now 6 years old and still going strong.

We have a travel system and a Pockit buggy for travelling. It folds up to the size of a brief case so is great for travelling. It doesn't recline although you can get one which does which may be better if the baby can't sit upright yet

I don't think it's extravagant to get one for a holiday (depending on how much you spend, obviously!). We have one that we've had from birth, but we bought another for our holiday last year as our regular one doesn't collapse in one and we didn't want it potentially getting trashed on plane. It lays flat, rubber tyres so not to bumpy a ride, has a massive hood to shield sun and only cost us £5 from a local selling page on fb. You really don't need to spend a lot, plenty of people use them as holiday pushchairs and sell them on.

We have an iCandy Peach (travel system), but when we go away later this year will purchase a pushchair travel system - so just a small pushchair that can fold in one piece, but that a car seat clips on to (so we can bring our car seat with us without carrying anything extra). Obviously our car seat clips onto the iCandy but not without removing (and lugging round) the seat unit/carrycot.

Plus, I won't mind this pushchair getting bashed about a little when they put it in the plane as it'll be much cheaper than my second baby iCandy. I should get plenty of use out of it as DC grow up and get older, too.

I’ve got 2. A bugaboo bee for day to day use and a hauck sport from Aldi - mega bargain got it for about £18 at the end of the baby event but even full price it’s only about £30 - for holidays/travel/grandparents. When the baby gets too big for the travel system I will keep the hauck permanently in the boot of my car as it takes up less space and saves me folding and moving the bee into the car boot whenever we go anywhere. Most people I know seem to have two. The hauck is an absolutely brilliant buggy for the price. Lies flat, folds really easily and very compact when folded.

We’ve got two - a Mountain Buggy Cosmopolitan from birth, and the Mountain Buggy Nano for when we were travelling. Love both of them.

I always thought it would be silly to have more than 1. But then we had DD. We have a Silver Cross Pioneer for everyday, a cheap travel one that stays at my mums as she has DD 1 day a week and I'm now looking at getting an out n about nipper for running. So we might end up with 3 Blush. If I like the out n about I might put the silver cross in the loft for the next baby though as it's large and DD is 2 so not using the pram that much anymore anyway.

Thansk for the responses. Went down to mamas and papas and tried some out for size with the little baby and purchased one!

I currently have 6 buggies but have had another three I've sold or given away. (I have a toddler and a newborn). I have every accessory going as well (3 buggy boards, different footmuffs and liners, sun shades etc for them all). I know plenty of people with a travel system and a pushchair, but I also know people like me that are 'into' prams and have loads! It's a good job I have a large garage...
