Going away for 3 days

So before I go back to work after mat leave I need to do a refresher course which is 3 days and I'll have to go away for it as there isn't a centre near that does it. There's definitely a course when LO will be about 5 months old. Is that too young to be away for 2 nights or will they be fine? Given that some mum's will be back in work already and DH will be around?

Wouldn't have been an issue for me.
There are some MNers I read of though that have never left their 10 yr old dc Grin
I suppose it would create an issue if you are breast feeding, but other than that, I can't see why it should be an issue.

You and your dd will be fine. Go and enjoy a bit of a break (even if it is work)

I will be bf but plan on expressing and leaving it for dh in the freezer Grin

I had to have an operation when DS was around the same age. It meant 2 nights in hospital. I found it hard but he was fine! It ended up being really good for him to have bonding time with his dad and it made DH appreciate me a bit more.

Personally I'd enjoy getting a good night's sleep...

I couldn't have done it as EBF DD flatly refused bottles/cups or anything else. I did leave her during the day a couple of times but she was sooo stubborn and went without.

So just be aware, things don't always go as planned.
