Hi all looking for people who have/are using Aldi first infant milk..... how is it and how does it compare to the more expensive ones like SMA/adaptamil?

Please no comments about choosing to formula feed rather than breast feed please.

Thank you Smile

We used it, it's fine.
All formula adheres to the same standards so it's probably no better or worse than others.

I'm sure it's as good as the other brands but what put me off it was that it wasn't always available and there isn't an Aldi everywhere eg if we were on holiday. The HV said to avoid switching between brands so we used a widely available brand. Shame as it cost a small fortune to feed our twins!

You can change between formulas normally. I use it and sometimes use Cow and Gate too. Never noticed any difference.

I regularly switched between Mamia and Aptimil with no issues.

I always bought a few tins of Mamia at a time though just in case it was out of stock or if I wasn't able to get there for a while.

Aldi has a really good range of pouches and snacks for weaning too though.

It's fine. For independent info on formula have a look at First Steps Nutrition.

Thanks all, my local Aldi has always seemed to have stock whenever I've actually looked before so will give it a try. May just buy a couple of tubs at a time incase it ever drops stock though!
