Child-friendly makeup to cover chicken pox scars?

I have a very self-conscious, unhappy little flower girl who needs your help! She has recovered from chickenpox but unfortunately there are both scars (raised) and pock marks (depressions) over her face. This isn't a problem for us but it's bothering her immensely.

There seem to be so many products out there to cover birthmarks, burns, tattoos etc. I've got very confused about what is appropriate for children to use and what sort of concealer is best for blemishes that go up and down.

Can anyone help? Time is getting tight now and I can't afford to spend over twenty pounds on the wrong product. Thank you!

Oh poor little thing Sad

How about a BB cream or tinted moisturiser to even out her skin tone? I’d be wary of putting a heavy foundation on her or anything powder based as speaking from the experience of a school friend with a sizeable strawberry mark, obviously heavy make-up on a very young child might attract more stares than the marks themselves.

Bio oil is also really good for reducing scars.

Oh bless her, have you tried bio oil? Both my toddlers had a hell of a dose of chickenpox and DD was very upset because other children mocked her scars at nursery. DS2 didn’t give a shit, but I used it on him anyway as his entire torso and back was covered in scars.

Both have significantly lessened since using bio oil daily.

@TMMHF I'm guessing you're Tracey Mellor?
