Omg!

Nothing prepared me for this! He's 5 days old now and so far I've been spared the dirty nappies! I've done a few wet ones but that's it!

Bit of context, it's my partners 6th baby and my first!

How can so much poo come out of something so small????

It was everywhere!!! I couldn't even work out where to start! I must have used about 10 wipes just to clean it up!

And the smell!! Jesus Christ it smelt like a man poo I swear!

Anyway it is done now, so hopefully a happy baby again (he's decided to sleep all day and stay awake at night!)

Best I ever had was long haul to Heathrow.

We were taking off and I thought, what the fuck is that smell, oh no its DS.

I had to throw away the clothing. Wrestling him in that tiny airplane cubicle wasn't fun. You should have seen the look on the po-faced fucker who went in afterwards.

@Chocolatecoffeeaddict a troll thread? Why? Cos a man posts about baby poo?

Go away and troll hunt somewhere else. This is about me and my baby boy.

If you don't have a shower attachment, may I interest you in one of these?

The hose is approximately 3 feet long and can fit onto a sink or bath mixer tap.

Hosing the little one down may be necessary in the future.

Well done, brave soul, but remember, you and your little one are just limbering up for what's to come.

Naaaaw! Oooos a koot lickle bubba?

He's lovely 😍

firsttimedad79 · 28/05/2018 13:31

@IJustHadToNameChange he really is! Love him to bits :) it's just all a long learning curve! My partner has had 5 previous babies so knows what's going on, and finds it funny when I'm doing stuff for the first time :)

I have very fond memories with DS1 if bending his legs back in a department store changing room and he hadn’t quite finished. The poo projectiled in a perfect arc into the sink on the other side of the room.

GummyGoddess · 28/05/2018 13:48

Oh wow he has so much hair! Maybe you'll get a hat trick soon. Dc1 pooped, weed and vomited all over DH during one change. I was unfortunately downstairs at the time Grin

firsttimedad79 · 28/05/2018 13:51

@GummyGoddess I really really don't want that to happen!! Sounds awful!

Haha welcome to parenthood OP! My son is 7 months old now and my god have we had some poonamis. They'll come, just you wait! 😂 Seeing your post made me remember this meme which I still find hilarious due to utter accuracy.

I have a one yr old whose favourite trick is to swipe the dirty nappy away as soon as I undo it and swing it around before flinging it. The carpet as scrubbed twice before I got wise to it. Now they are whisked away and put out of reach!!

firsttimedad79 · 28/05/2018 14:03

@mummabubs omg that looks horrendous! I think I'd panic at that one and go straight for the bath option!

@SnugglySnerd lol I've yet to learn the coordination of "bum up, nappy out!" So that type could get messy!

OP posts:
mummabubs · 28/05/2018 14:30

@firsttimedad79 In my experience you learn not to panic after the first few poonamis! 😂 Public place poonamis (PPPs) are still a mild cause for concern though!

firsttimedad79 · 28/05/2018 14:31

@mummabubs oh god, I never even thought of what would happen away from the house! I'm never going out again now! Lol

mummabubs · 28/05/2018 20:10

If it makes you feel any better we're on holiday in a posh hotel at the moment (decided 7 months was old enough to brave a flight) and DS Just poonami'd over my bed onto the white cover. Added insult as I was in the bath after he pee'd all down me 10 mins before that.

CountFosco · 28/05/2018 20:22

DD1 was one of those BF babies that rarely pooed. So day 1 and 2 after a poonami you'd potter around town quite happily knowing there was no chance of a poo. Days 3 and 4 you'd make sure you had a full change of clothes and plenty of wipes with you. From day 5 until P-day you'd stay at home to avoid th true horror of a PPP. Her worst ever poonami took place at the GPs in February. Every item of clothing had poo on it, including the snowsuit. I changed her but she was not finished and pooed again, covering the baselayer in poo again. I wiped the worst of the poo off the snowsuit, bundled her in it and went straight home and filled the washing machine. Hideous.

lapenguin · 28/05/2018 20:46

I've had a friend tell me her son hit the wall on the other side of a room with his projectile poo!
My son did a massive one once, got it all over himself and me, I was at my mums, screamed and both her and OH came in, asked mum to run the bath and asked OH to help undress us. It was grim.

Ilikesweetpeas · 28/05/2018 21:32

Your baby is very cute Smile
It is truly amazing what comes out of them!!

Kittykat93 · 28/05/2018 21:57

Congratulations OP on your lovely boy Smile ahh you haven't experienced a poonami yet. Don't worry it will come! Only earlier today my 7 month old managed to shit through his babygrow, sleeping bag and onto the sheets of the cot underneath. I just wanted to cry Grin
