Cloth nappies?

I want to switch to Cloth nappies (DS(3) is just potty trained so would just be nighttime. DD is 9m) I'm a bit late to the party but better late then never right?

I'm thinking wraps and covers as they seem the most flexible (and slightly cheaper) but all the really lovely patterns seem to be pocket nappies!

So can anyone recommend either pretty covers for the 2 piece ones, or somewhere I can find second hand ones at a price where I don't care what they look like, or should I just go with pocket nappies so at least I'm spending a fortune on something that looks lovely?

I have seen pocket nappies that have jungle prints, bumble bees (would love this!) owls, etc, but covers for the wraps seem to mostly be plain colours.

Thanks for any advice :)

Honestly don't get fooled by the patterns. After a year of washing they look shit. I spent £30 on a nappy for a print once and I cringe every time I use it now. Go for work horse ones. Little lamb are the best in my experience, and very reasonable.

Thirstiest Duo Wrap Covers come in some really cute prints and are on amazon. I have about 5 of these and they are my favourites, they have never leaked on me.

Look on ebay. Most of my nappies are from there and I’ve got some really lovely patterns (and none have faded! They’re mostly Totsbots/Peenuts).

Even more ecological/economical tp get 2nd-hand nappies too Smile

EBay is great for secondhand.

Little Lambs for nighttime.

No one sees the prints once they're dressed - not worth the extra money.

Check out the Real Nappy website to see of there is a library near you - would mean you could borrow some and see what works for you before spending a lot of money.

Thanks all, am waiting to borrow some to try out and appreciate the tips on good brands to look for!
