Dc2 got hold of dc1's markers, made two delightful scribbles (one large, one medium in the kitchen/diner!!!!! Need it gone by 6pm tonight. It's not wipeable/washable paint (chosen and went on before we had dc). So far I've been using wipes, which has ever so slightly lighted the occasional "streak" of marker, but really not made much impact.

What do I need to know? How do I fix this??

Flash magic eraser.

But seriously... tell your DH to stfu if he says anything. Honestly- start as you mean to go on, don't hide things. He will have to just come to terms with the reality of having dc.

Bicarbonate of soda made into a paste and rubbed into it will shift it

Hairspray worked really well on biro. But I’d suggest going on a week long holiday so your dh can better understand what it is like being home with small dc.

Are you nearer a Lakeland? There magic eraser is amazing for getting marks off walls.

If not I am sure most DIY shops will have some sort of similar product.

Just seen it’s because of your DH, do not rush anywhere. 6 pm drink the vodka and leave your DH in charge.

My DH use to have similar comments till I went back FT to work and he went PT...he doesn’t anymore.

Double checking the cleaning supplies before going for an extra magic eraser, I came across biodegradable #1 easy multipurpose household cleaner (thick blue stuff in a tub, 170gr) it has done the trick!! It has taken off all marker. (however, I got a bit carried away and started washing other bits of the wall as well, and it has lifted a small layer of paint there. only on the bit where there was no marker. no paint lifted where there was marker. but it looks like if you were painting, you'd just want to run a brush over it once more. So not immediately noticeable if you look at the wall. and a lot less noticeable than bright pink marker scribbles). So on balance it's progress!

Glad you have made progress but, seriously, your dh needs a word with himself if he is likely to whine at you after this.
It happens. It does in the most pristine and polite houses. Because there are kids there. And stuff.
I hope he does his fair share of looking after them in his own so that you get child-free time.

You are scared in your own home OP. Not good. Not good at all.

I'm assuming the melodramatic tone was a light hearted in the moment thing. And that you don't live in fear of your husband's disapproval of your shoddy child rearing. 'Cos, love, if it is ... you know that is not right.

It won't show when you write FUCK OFF on top in big pink letters.
