So my DS has been a reasonably good eater since the 6 month mark, but now seems to not want a lot to eat. He wakes at about 6ish so we have weetabix with chopped fruit , egg and banana bread or cheese on toast ( blw for the toast bits) milk around 10 , lunch about 13.30 a mix of 2 of these fruit muffin, yoghurt, bannana or cheese , milk about 3.30 then tea at 4.30 /5.00 something mashed with fish / carrot batons / broccoli. Then bottle and bed for 6.30/ 7.00 .What are your routines and quantities of food eaten as I'm never sure if the rule of thumb should be feed them the size if their fist and should I give him the milk first in the morning before brekkie and with how long a gap ?
I have recently experienced a devastating bereavement and people say that the baby could sense my grief and this could effect him but not sure if I buy into that ?? Sorry if this is wittery x

Ds2 is 14 months now but has eaten well from the start. He eats the same but more than ds1 who is nearly 3. I tend not to give snacks as ds1 doesn't want them. Ds2 has a breast feed before getting up. Ds1 has a cup of milk. They have alphabites/porridge/something similar for breakfast.

Lunch is often cheese and crackers, maybe some ham, with grapes/cucumber . Piece of fruit after. Or a sandwich with soft cheese. Neither are keen on "dry" sandwiches and would rather have bread and butter with ham and cheese on the side. Cheese on toast or beans on toast so etimes.

Dinner is shepherds pie/fish pie/lasagne etc or sausages, pork chop, salmon, mackerel. With selection of veg. Broccoli, carrots and peas are favourites. Pasta with bolonaise. Sometimes if I'm in a rush pasta with peas, sweet corn, ham and cheese.

They might have rice pudding, a biscuit, or something after if still hungry.

My first son ate very well then went through a finicky stage about 6 months ago which worried me. Best advice I read was "you choose what to offer, they choose whether to eat it "
