I've been up all night being sick and on the loo all night.
OH is at work till 5.30 won't get back till my LGs bedtime. Am I a bad mum if I let my two year old have CBeebies and paw patrol on for probably most of the day (she won't watch it all day just flit back and forth). I'm useless today and she has already thrown her ball into the sick bucket playing.

How do you all cope when you're really poorly with the kids. This is the first time I've been on my own with her like this. Confused

Nope that's fine .
Few days of constant tv won't hurt her

mostlymindblown · 04/04/2018 09:41

Definitely OK. Whatever gets you through!

Hope you feel better soon

Do whatever you need to get you through, will feel like the longest day but it will end!

I'm a single parent, and in situations like this, paw patrol is definitely okay! What else can you do?

Maybe sitting on the sofa with your little one and the sick bucket would help?

I find they're cranky at bedtime if they haven't had a run around. You can try directing some physical activity from the sofa if you're well enough? (How many star jumps can you do? , that sort of thing).

Hope you feel better soon.

Thanks so much guys. I usually try am limit tv but what else can I do!

I never thought of her not getting any energy out I might stick some tumble tots on that usually has her running about for a bit.

Hope you feel better soon Thanksdo you have anyone who can help tomorrow if you're still feeling rubbish?

Not half as bad as you but DD (9 Months) was up at least 10 times overnight (teething) & I woke with a migraine/vomiting as a result. Have now got that under control...thank goodness for the medicine cabinet! Counting down the minutes until her 12pm nap though so we can both have a sleep. Tried my luck putting her down at 9.45am because I really need to nap but that wasn't well received so back to counting down...I would definitely be taking full advantage of TV if she was old enough to watch it for more than 5 minutes. The day must feel never ending but you've survived a few hours now! Grin I'll cross everything that you start to feel a little better as the day goes on!
