How long should i let her sleep?

Morning all.

My PFB is 5 weeks and 4 days. Up until 2 days ago she was waking every 3 hours (you could set a clock by her) for feeding through the night. The last 2 nights she has slept loads more. First night was 5.5 hours followed by 3 hours. Last night i set an alarm to wake ne after 5 hours so i could feed her.

Im worried shes sleeping too long. Very aware of being told she had to feed every 3 hours when she was first born and not sure when that changes. Should I just let her sleep and take the win? She feeds more regularly during the day.

Also... PFB... nuff said!! Thanks for any and all thoughts / advice.

As long as your baby is otherwise healthy I would let her sleep and trust her body. She will wake to feed when she is hungry. I never woke my newborn, not in the day or the night as she was a healthy weight, on track for her percentiles

Providing her weight is ok by 5 weeks I’d feed at least 3 hourly in the day (more if she wants it) and would leave her to sleep for as long as she wants overnight.

Leave her to sleep, assuming the midwife / HV haven't had any concerns about her weight or weight gain.

Like PPs have said, as long as there are no concerns regarding her weight gain, take the win and let her sleep 😊

Let her sleep as long as no weight issues

Thanks all.
Will let sleeping babies lie!
