There's usually some free/cheap Easter stuff on. One of the Cadburys Easter egg hunts - look at Holmswood, Pollock House etc. Then the Transport Museum is great (my similarly aged kids always enjoy it anyway), what about a trip down to Ayr, M&Ds at Strathclyde park, 7 sisters zoo?

If it’s wet, mine like having a carpet picnic and a film or just getting their wellies on and going for a splash in some puddles. Do any of your local cinemas have kids showings? Have a look to see what your local museums have on too as they usually have some cheap activities.

I don't remember ever having anything planned for me by my mum for holidays. Maybe 1 trip to the cinema then rest of time was just at home as normal playing with my toys

I have a 4.5 year old (no other kids though) and also haven't got a holiday booked. I am not in the same area as you but I have been making a list of possible things to do.

Park of it's dry weather - we will wrap up warm if chilly. DS quite likes taking a little picnic to the park and I can take a small flask of tea/hot choc to warm me up.

A couple of local places are doing Easter egg hunts which are free so will get to one of those.

Library have got free things in and he really enjoys the library anway.

Making chocolate Easter nests.

Swimming - he goes free because he has lessons there and it's only 3.50 for me so it's cheap and tired him out.

Small local farm which again is cheap and he can feed the animals.

Other than that we will be seeing family and doing things at home.

I always think young kids are fairly easily entertained so I am making the most of being able to amuse him with free/cheap things!

Ooh I forgot we are going to the free science museum one day too - do you have anything like that near by?

It’s already been holidays here for a week, we’ve been to a country park, walked the dog a lot, done some baking, crafts, seen friends and been swimming.
