Reusable nappies for a toddler

Hello

My little boy is two. I have only ever used disposable nappies, but I have been given some reusable nappies for free, so I am in the unusual position of trying reusables for the first time with a toddler. I have heard that they are good for encouraging potty training so I think it is worth a shot.

I have a couple of probably daft questions. I have been given a bag full of nappies, some fleecy things which I guess go inside the pocket bit, and a roll of paper liners. What do I do with all of these things? I guess the paper goes next to his skin and can go down the toilet if it gets covered in poo?

Also, in terms of washing, is it OK to rinse the nappies in the machine then add them to a normal load?

Do you know what brand they are?

The fleece could be reusable liners ie the same as the paper but you wash them instead of throwing. Do not throw the paper liner down the loo, they will block the drains, throw the poo down loo and bin the liner. But yes they go next to the skin.

Washing, it's not recommended to wash poo nappies with clothes. Store in a bucket or waterproof bag and wash them every other/3 days
