Have you had her checked for a UTI? Definitely needs ruling out before you worry about anything else.

her urine is as clear as water so definitely not uti. she drinks about a litre of fluid a day maybe more, which is why i am trying to reduce her bedtime drinks in order to get her out of nappies at night.

i would still get her checked for a UTI...

then do the following.
If she has accident:
make her stop what shes doing immediatly and go and sit on the toilet
make her remove her wet pants / clothes
make her go and put them in wash basket
make her put on her dry clothes and pants (chosen by you (if her choosing would give her any satisfaction at all)... also chosoe th plainets and most boring knickers, ideally plain white... (she can have her barbie pants in the morning and once wet its plain and boring )
make her go back into the toilet to wash ehr hands.

She will soon realise its easier to just go the loo in the 1st place.

also make conversation as minimul as possible... just basic 'put on your knickers' washe your hands etc.... oh and praise when she uses the loo.

the above technique worked for my charge in less than 4 days

NannyL thank you for your suggestions. i will definitely give them a try. i know she definitely doesnt have a UTI because i am a nurse, have wondered if she has a small bladder or has a problem retaining fluid. she can easily drink a 200ml cup of juice in seconds but then seems to be constantly weeing until she gets rid of it all.
