Musical instruments

Morning all!
My little one (7 weeks) loves music! I am wanting to buy some instruments so I can play with him (and drown out my awful singing! Shock) but am unsure what to get. I’ve seen some bells on a handle on amazon but they are getting bad reviews as the bells fall off. Can anyone recommend any instruments please? Or even any safe bells?!
Thank you! Grin

Baby maracas, plastic drum to tap and scratch, castanets are lovely and gentle instruments. My baby groups use the same halilit brand that Boswell's sells.

Make your own shakers with empty plastic bottles/kliplock tubs and different dried foods. Seal tight with tape/glue for safety.

Rice & couscous makesa lovely gentle noise, things like macaroni or chickpeas are a little noisier. LO will love joining in when they start to grasp things!

I was going to recommend one of the rare-breed instruments so he'll be in demand in the orchestra, but 7 weeks is a leeetle bit small for a tuba Grin.

Babies don't care how you sing, they just love you doing it. Have fun!

I hadn’t even thought of making my own! Thank you so much for a brilliant idea! I have plenty of pasta, rice and clip boxes. I remember in school putting rice inside a toilet roll tube and taping the end up. Blue Peter eat your heart out!!
I love the idea of the tuba, maybe when he’s a little older Wink
