Does anyone have any experience of these. I want to go on holiday with my daughter but I want her to have the option to make friends and it would be quite nice for me to have someone to have a glass of wine or two with, without feeling like I am ruining some families holiday by following them around!

Watching. I did Euro amp as a single mum, kids club was good but I didn’t make any adult friends. Are there organised single mum holidays? Cos that would be a great idea.

There are specialist single parent holidays but they cost a fortune which is shit.

I feel your pain, I’ve done 5 years of it. Ds always makes friends but people look at me like I’m gonna run off with their husbands 🤨

Horse riding holiday? Not that this will have universal appeal Grin

Think about going to Youth hostels, there are loads of people there from single people to groups, families etc. There will be people to talk to, its fairly reasonable as well.I'd do that instead of going on a special holiday that costs the earth.

could try Euro camp but like you say no guarantee of any friendly adult company !

I agree red tartan shoes - I've looked at those specialist holidays and they are either fully booked, really expensive or both - also tend to be active holidays which neither myself or my daughter really want - mainly as she wouldn't get out of bed till 12 lol!

Rudgie 47 there are certainly some lovely youth hostels in beautiful places... might look into those. You don't have to share rooms these days do you :)

I’d love a holiday where da could mess about in the pool, with Luda similar ages and I could lie by it drinking gin and just chatting to folk. Same of a night time. Doesn’t exsist. Looks like single parents never take their kids away

If your looking in the UK then Horton Women's Holiday Centre is very good, especially for younger kids. It's basic hostel accommodation but it has a massive toy room, a garden with loads of play equipment and all the women talk to each other. I've been taking my kids there for a few years now and we love it. It's in rural Yorkshire

what a lovely idea the Horton Women's Holiday Centre is - just been looking at the photos - I bet it is a great experience to be there with other supportive women
