Have you got a sling?

Know95 · 04/03/2018 20:05

Yeah I've got a sling and a harness but he'll only stay in it for like 15 minutes. I've even brought his bouncy chair with toys into the kitchen etc where I've been trying to do stuff but again he only last about 15 minutes then crys to be held

My DS was exactly the same. Every time I put him down he cried

Every.fecking.time.

He simply grew out of it with age, it's a time thing although it feels like it's never going to end!

My DD was a little younger when she was so clingy, every day I uSed to build up her time in her bouncer. I would have it facing me whilst I showered, so she knew I was there and eventually had her strapped in it in the lounge whilst I made dinner. Sometimes she cried; but it’s fine, she learnt and got used to it.

I feel your pain! My youngest was like this, I bought every sling and every bouncy chair contraption but he cried and cried to be held. So I learnt to do a lot of things one handed...and some times he cried a lot as I needed to look after his older sister, make lunch, put washing in etc etc...so stressful and depressing listening to those wails!

I can't say he grew out of it, he's just turned 4 and loves constant cuddles and being held and carried. It's just now I can negotiate with him more!
