Infant registration card for GP

We have a 3 week old, and last week registered her birth. I was going to get her registered as a patient with the doctors tomorrow, however the nhs site says we should have a pink infant registration card (HS123) to take.

However I've checked the pack given to us by the registrar, all that is in there is her birth certifcate and a bunch of vouchers. Have they missed this out by accident or do we not need this to register a baby with the GP anymore?

I'm not sure about that card as we didn't get one 3 years ago (maybe it's new). Is her NHS number in her red book? If they still give you those! That might enough at the surgery.

Their NHS number should be in their red book - just take that.

I got a form from my GP surgery to fill out with a few details on. Her NHS number was in the paperwork from the hospital but they didn't send any specific form to take to the GP.

I don't think you need anything. I registered my 2 week old with the GP on Thursday and all I did was fill out like a 2 page form and give it to the receptionist. We've not registered his birth yet (got cancelled because of the snow).

Ah cool, thanks everyone! Sorry for not updating to thank you all sooner, she's picked up congested snuffles which has really buggered up her feeding and sleeping today - feeding is getting better but she's hardly slept and is very upset about it!
