Servicing travel system

We've recently found out we're expecting DC2 and, although it's early days we've been talking about what we will buy new and what we will use again. For DD we bought a second hand bugaboo chameleon from a friend. It had barely been used and was in good condition although I did notice towards the end of its use that it wasn't so easy to steer and, of course, it's quite grubby now. I have said that I'm happy to use it again but I would like to get a full clean and service which, after a quick google, can be done for around £120. DP argues that it's more than we paid for it in the first place but I pointed out that it's considerably cheaper than buying a new one.
Has anyone done this before and have any recommendations for where we can get a full safety check and clean? It would be the chassis, carry cot and upright seat and I would like to get the car seat done as well.

We tried to get ours serviced but couldn’t find anyone. We asked at John Lewis too.

Oh that's annoying. I really don't want to have to buy a new one when mine is in such good condition but I also don't want to use it until it's been serviced and valeted.

Could you do it yourself? I recently got the big pram out took all the covers off give everything a good clean and through the machine and cleaned the chassis with one of them magic sponges. Gave the wheels a bit of a de squeak and it's literally like when we bought it. X

I'm happy to clean it but it's more about the servicing. The wheels definitely need adjusting and for peace of mind, I'd like to be sure that everything is as it should be.

Ask a bike shop if they can service/lube the wheels for you. There’s a reason why bikes and prams are traditionally sold by the same shops!

We had a second hand buggy serviced, definitely worth it. Think they were called pram valet or something.
