Tips on getting eye drops into LO's eyes

Hi everyone, LO has conjunctivitis SadSadSad she's 10months old. It's actually hurting my heart to look at her little face the poor thing (she's only ever been ill once before so I'm not used to this) I've been to see the doc and got some drops but getting them in her eyes is proving difficult. Ive tried playing to distract her (didn't work at all) and holding her head between my legs while she is laid on the floor but it's upsetting both of us. She struggling with me when I try to wipe the gunk away too. They have to be applied every two hours. Does anyone have any tips on getting them in without tears from both of us Sad thanks

I put them in the corner nearest the nose when my dad's eyes are shut. She normally then opens them to shout at me crossly and the drop slides in . It's probably not perfect but it is doing it enough to clear up her gunky eyes.

Lay her on the floor. Kneel behind her so you're facing the top of her head. Fine to drop them in when her eyes are closed as she'll have to blink and that's when they go in.

the inner corner closed eye should work fine

if they are bigger you can try with the eye open and get them to look away over their head, and you pop the drop into the lower lid, but often that small touch is enough to warn them the drop is imminent and the eyes are clamped shut

Thanks ladies, will keep going and hopefully get some int that don't get cried straight back out. Just feels awful upsetting her so much but I know it's for a good reason.
