Give a bottle /drink on take off and landing to help the ears.

If it’s your first holiday since having your DC, don’t expect it to be the lovely relaxing break that you used to think of as a holiday!!

Its a big disruption for three days, do you have to take him ? He might be happier with GP or someone?

I dunno if worth it for 3 days either op Sad

Three days sounds like a city break and I can’t imagine that would be much fun for or with a toddler.

No such thing as a holiday with a toddler. It's just the usual day to day obligations in a different setting.

Holidays with toddlers are, in my experience, a disappointment. Its so stressful its not at all relaxing. We just do center parcs and the like these days, until the kids are old enough to amuse themselves 😂

We took DD to Lisbon when she was a month or two older. It was fun. Try to find a couple of child friendly things to do beforehand (e.g a park, aquarium, somewhere they can run around for a bit)-there was a street performer with bubbles in the main square that DD loved. Each day we'd walk through at some point, she'd run round popping bubbles then we'd go for ice cream/drinks in one of the cafes in the square.

Yes, it won't be relaxing but can still be fun. Stickers, colouring for dinner, iPad for the flight/downtime in the hotel. A few little toys-cars, animals etc depending on what they're into. Take some snacks for the flight but also to buy yourself an extra 15 minutes in bed in the morning so it's not a big rush to get out for breakfast as soon as DC decides they're hungry! We usually take squeezy pouches of yoghurt and pick up some fruit when we're there. We prefer apartments to hotels but you've probably already booked accommodation. Enjoy!

Take much more milk/juice on the plane than you normally use at that time - mine literally downed milk so I think it helps with the ears.

I would have taken my 20 mo Barcelona is fab xx

Take a big sling rather than a pram, Spain does not have the same rules as UK about disabled access so lots of stairs. It will be brilliant! Go and have fun. On the plane bring endless treats to pass the time. For taxis bring an inflatable booster seat.

Definitely the bottles for ears. DD was a similar age when she first went on a plane and screamed like mad and the bottle really helped.
