My dd is 4 on monday night mare to potty train but has been pretty good since 3 1/2. Recently got constipated started pooing pants again. Thats getting better again but started wetting her self, twice on saturday.
She alway seems to have a dribble before she goes this has never resolved really.
My husband told her on monday night he will take her to the park thursday evening if she is all dry till then. We havent had any wet trousers but pants are always damp as always.
Dh told her last night they should be completley dry. I dont know if it always been a problem if we are expecting to much. She did start to dry out more before she got constipated. If they are just a bit damp I dont change her I just leave them in them, as dont want to make an issue of it. should I change them or not.

Well I guess if she's not asking you to change them, or getting sore then you're probably doing right. Do you take her to the toilet regularly (ie whether she asks to go or not)?

If she is constipated, she may not be able to contain her wee properly.

The fact that she's pooing her pants again may be encopresis - she may still actually be constipated. With encopresis there's a blockage which softer poo manages to seep around, so is often mistaken for pooing their pants - but actually the child can't tell that it's happening.

According to dd's paed, constipation can cause wetting because it desensitises the area so accidents happen. If there is a blockage, as with encopresis, pressure on the area can also cause wetting.

Thanks wigwam and mama. I think you are right wigwam. She been really good just a bit damp. Dr started her on lactolose in the short term, her diets good and she drinks well so hopefully in a week or so she be doing better and not holding on.

Dd's on lactulose too - she has become a real expert at withholding poo. The lactulose does help a bit, though.

I'd say you should go easy on her for a bit. Try not to put too much pressure on her to be completely dry, and maybe give rewards for when she is, rather than punishments for when she's not.

Fingers crossed that the lactulose works!
