To work in a nursery I need NVQ's, cool, I get that, but my head is fried, trying to debate with DP over the phone, how would I go about getting an NVQ and what in, if my intention would be to work at a nursery, also, can I do it from home?

Info here

1st year full time at college= NVQ Level2 includes days in college and in work placements.

2nd year full time = svq Level3 again days in college and work placements.

Different routes availible through employment and day release combinations.

Whichever way you do it you will have to do placements or work in a childcare environment so you can do assignments and be assessed, but could be possible to do the college work at home rather than in a class perhaps.

There are companies offering homestudy in childcare but doubtful if their qualifications will be recognised by any employers. I looked at one years ago before I went to college and advice was that it wasn't a "real" qualification.
