Would you let you 12yr old

Spend the night in a tent , in a field with no adults to supervise them. My dd is giving me a hard time because I won't let go to "this massive sleep over that everyone is going to, YOU ARE SO TIGHT". She's not going but I can't believe that others are allowed to go or am I being tight? Constructive critism welcome.

id say yes if the aprents coudl organise a check
or if it was in a garden
lets face it she wants to go to smoke adn fumble

I don't think I would have been allowed to go to a random field when I was 12 on a sleep over - slept in the garden plenty of times and my mum was pretty lenient imo. My ds is only 1 but still don't reckon I would let him go if he was 12 either - I think you are right to say no, 12 is too young.

It's in a field at the back of one of the girls houses. I don't know the parents and my dd has refused to give me their tel no.

The fact that she refuses to give you the phone number would definitely make me say no.

No I don't know the girl. I've a rough idea where they live, a rural village. It just doesn't sit easy with me a crowd of 12 & 13 year olds sleeping out in a field. I wouldn't have a problem with it if they were sleeping in some ones house.

I would have said 'maybe' until you mentioned about the veto on the phone number. Bit dodgy that...

I was never allowed to do anything like this, my parents were very strict.

i would say yes but only if you have the number of the parenst.

round ehre there are several houses with fields at the end of the garden.... and although they are fields, they do also seem to be an extension of the garden!

I random field in the middle of nowhere no way, buta field at the end of a friends garden would be ok IMO.... so long as you have the adress, phone number etc!

I have a 14 year old, and i defo wouldn't let her unless i had seen where the field is and the parents telephone number...and spoken to them on that telephone number too!(she would be probably spooked by some noise or spider and be indoors by midnight tho!)lol

hmmmm always be suspicious when they won't give out a telephone number
