17 month old never eats... desperate for advice

Hi, my dd is 17 months old and has never really been an eater.

I have tried every type of food and she just doesn't seem to want to eat anything on the odd occasion she may eat a quarter of what I give her I would say maybe once a month..

She only has a small bottle of cows milk in bed on the night so she isn't filling up on that and she also has all her teeth so she's not teething...

I haven't let it worry me before but I have noticed she is loosing lots of weight and looking ill, she's gone down a size in nappy's and all the clothes that once fit are hanging off her, I try to give her meals at the same time every day and in her high chair I just don't no where I am going wrong...

If anyone has any advice it would be immensely appreciated 😞😔

I’m not normally one to make a big deal out of Toddlers not eating much but if she’s losing weight and looking ill then she needs to be seen by a GP.

Doctor.

Doctors ASAP. In my experience toddlers often put on and lose weight on a weekly basis but dropping a size in nappies is worrying. Do come back and let us know how you get on

Doctor urgently. You imply she eats something once a month?! And only then has some milk.. she must be literally starving :-/ I hope she’s ok!

Doctors appointment ASAP

BatFaceGal · 06/02/2018 14:20

What would she do if you handed her chocolate? Would she eat that?

You need to see a dr ASAP if this is exactly how you describe and you've not just got a picky eater on your hands.
