Hiya, I've got 2 boys, 22mo and 3mo. The double buggie we bought didn't come with a car seat or carrycot option and as we couldn't afford them at the time I bought a sling, tingling u would carry baby and push the toddler in his pram until baby was big enough to go in the normal pram seat.

Well best laid plans and all that, this hasn't happened as I can't get to grips with the wrap and my back is still not right after a car accident I had while I was pregnant.

Baby is a big 3mo he is over 15lb and has good neck control, even though the pram says suitable from 6 months do you think he would be OK to go in it now just for short walks? I'm stuck inside unless DP is home or someone can come and push baby in his other pushchair(old carrycot one we had for ds1) im going stir crazy!!x

We used a normal seat from 6 months - can it lie flat or even back a lot? That might make a difference.

DS1 was a huge baby and had outgrown his carrycot lengthwise by 3 months so I had no choice but to use the pram seat. I had it on the most reclined and flattest settings. My pram, Uppababy Cruz, also had a separate accessory (Snugseat I think it was called) that was like a little seat cover with a cushion to flatten out the seat even more.

I was in exactly the same situation as EveMoneypenny. Why a company who makes prams with extendedable handles for tall parents have a small bassinate is beyond me.

DD had reflux so it was much better for her.

It doesn't recline totally flat but not far off, I've just put it together to have another look and the trouble I have now is if I have baby rear facing lying as flat as possible it then means the front seat which will be front facing or older boy will sqwark, the front seat won't recline at all. So if he falls asleep in the front on s walk he will be sat upright the whole time, is that now an issue?
