What does your toddler eat... and what can't they eat without tummy trouble?

Dc (cmpa) 18 mos,

Seems to not get on well with bread (which is a pain). Ditto any wheat (pasta etc, means all night farting)

Bananas will keep her up all night as well.
Will eat a lot of rice and corn pasta

Just wondering if anyone else's toddlers get tummy pain/wind/poops from certain foods?

Oranges. I don't let DS1 near an orange or we all pay for it!

Mine has never really had any tummy issues with any specific foods, but she's always had a fairly high fibre diet (lots of fruit and veg) from very early and has no allergies.

My toddler is dairy free and other than limiting banana and egg and avoiding UHT soya milk she is fine.

My dd gets diarrhoea and tummy aches with too much gluten. I substitute most of her bread with gluten free, ditto her cereal porridge and pasta. That’s the bulk of gluten she eats and the small amounts she eats of other things that do contain gluten don’t seem to cause an issue

It's funny. They tested her for gluten and it was 'fine' but real life says different!!

My daughter had a non iGl wheat allergy until she was 5. It was wheat rather than gluten that caused the issue, beef and soya also caused issues. She also had an epi pen for dairy, egg, sesame, banana and pulses. I imagine her gut reactions would not have been taken so seriously without her anaphylactic reactions.
I would advise you keep a detailed diary of food, bowels, skin, behaviour, sleep. and spot the patterns after a few weeks.
Gps are a bit hit and miss with taking allergies and intolerances seriously.

Mine's never had any tummy troubles with food but does if he's had too much calpol or baby nurofen for a cold/teeting etc. (I think it's the sweeteners, they can have a laxative effect on people)

Anyone had trouble with peas?

I've avoided them.. no idea why, they just terrify me 🤔

My 2 year old absolutely adores peas. She's been a bit picky today because she's been ill so for lunch she had a bowl of peas.🤔
