Tax free childcare or childcare vouchers

Anyone know much about this?

I’m confused because I did the calculations on the gov.uk site and it’s saying to switch to tax free childcare as we ll be better off (just about to apply for the 30 hr finding).

However I also tried a few other sites which supposedly tell you which would be best for you and they said childcare vouchers (which I’m already using).

Basically I’m well confused now about which to do!

We both work (I work part time) and our childcare costs are about 9k per year- 2 kids in Nursery, I’m not sure if we re on the threshold or something which is why I’m getting different answers!

Anyone know much about this?

I think there's a threshold of childcare costs per month where under it you're better off with vouchers and over it you're better off with the taxfree scheme.

I can't remember the exact amount, but I think it's approx £780 per month. Over that and you'll be better off with the taxfree childcare scheme. We pay approx £1150 per month for 2 DC in private nursery style daycare and moved over to the taxfree childcare. It has saved us around £100 per month.
