Dd is 7 months now for the last couple of nights has been very very screamy due to teeth coming in. I've been giving her calpol but she doesn't seem to go the whole stretch before the next dose is due. Can I give her nurofen in between? Reading the box on its not clear

Yes you can alternate the two as long as you stay within the allowed dosage. I keep a note as it can get confusing.
Also anbesol liquid is pretty effective. You can get it over the counter.

Torvi brilliant thank you. I think it's 4 doses each per 24 hours so technically she could have 8 doses? Not that she will need that many she just needs possibly 2 each to see her through the night she's fine in the day

Was also going to suggest anbesol, over the pharmacy counter. I used it with all 3 of my DC and still recommend it to friends! (Also occasionally use it when I have an ulcer)

No neurofen is every six hours. Perfectly fine to piggyback but check the dosage I think neurofen is only three times in 24 hours. Ime neurofen is much better for teething than calpol anyway.

I also think nurofen is 3 times per 24 hours. It's better than calpol in my experience so try to time it for when you really need it, like the middle of the night Wink

Alternate calpol and ibruprofen, anbesol liquid not the gel and Ashton and parsons teething powders. Got us through most of it. We did also get an amber necklace can't comment if it really did work or it was the above routine.

The teething granules work well for my DD and her dummy seems to help a bit too
