As a parent, we are constantly thinking about how to keep our children from any abuse. The #metoo compaign has highlighted the amount of sexual abuse that has been happening behind close doors. So how do we protect our kids from this kind of buse? The NSPCC has a campaign to help parents share and converse with their children how to keep safe from abuse. This campaign is called PANTS. I received an activity pack which included a guide for parents to help with the discussion and activities for the child to complete.. PANTS, in short, is an accronym for Private are private, Always remember your body belongs to you, No means no, Talk to someone you trust about secrets that upset you and Speak up. I found the information useful in discussing with my son how he can keep safe and what he can do. I think every parent should have this information to hand.
