Toddler becoming unbalanced and falling down more

Hi,
So my 15mo is a great walker, but for the last week or so I've noticed has gone backwards and looses her balance or falls over a lot more. She seems generally well within herself, I'm going to take her to the doctors this week but just wondering if anyone else has experienced anything like this?
I know I'm over thinking but I'm panicking it's something serious 😞

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Mine has done this periodically. Lasts a couple of days and coincides with growth spurts.

yes, fluid in the middle ear. otitis media. related to allergies in my dd case. treated with decongestants (the fluid was not infected) until the allergen was determined.

Really? I hadn't thought much of it until today when my grandma who has her while I'm at uni mentioned it too, so then I started to worry that it was worse than I thought

My DD had these when she had a growth spurt, I think her centre of gravity was off, and when she was getting confident enough that she was trying to move faster than she was able to cope with.

I think the time to be concerned is if they start falling over when just standing still iyswim, would be wort getting his ears checked just incase.

Somelikeitchilly · 16/01/2018 21:35

Mine did this when they were coming down with something.

I'm going to get her ears checked just to be safe, but that is a relief to hear it's more common than I thought!

Mine do this every so often. Even my 3yo. It seems to be around a growth spurt and/or shoes being slightly too small. I’ve never worried about it and it seems to correct itself within a couple of weeks

I would go growth spurt too, for my children it’s a sign I need to take them shoe shopping!!
