How the hell can I get the medicine into DD this time?!

Since daughter was 9 Months there has been a few colds which required her to have calpol...

Each time she’s taken it the way we’ve given it to her once, then caught on that she doesn’t like it and won’t take it that particular way again.

First it was the basics like the calpol syringe and then it was the spoon.

Then we had to think of other ways like putting the medicine in with a bit of water to drink from a cup or pretending the medicine was coming out of a yogurt pot. Or that me and my partner were taking some and then she would want it (just some examples)

Each time it will work once and not again.

She will purse her lips, shake her head and run away. She’s quick on her legs!

She’s 13 Months now and this cold is everywhere we go at the moment!

There has to be an easy way to get her to take the medicine? I just want her to get better, I hate seeing her like this.

Any ideas or tips on how to get her to take it? Please?

Paracetamol suppositories. Way better than fighting with a sick toddler!

She may be a bit old for this?

If it's just calpol for a cold, I wouldn't worry too much. If she feels well enough to run away she sounds fine. Save your tricks for when medicine is really needed - ABs taste much worse than calpol.

Firstly hold her so she can't run away - sit on your lap, or ideally someone else's so that you can steady her head whilst putting it in.
Try the syringe again, only put in little amounts at a time rather than shooting it all in in one go.
If all else fails -bribery - chocolate button/smartie AFTER she has had it.
