Hi all, I'm a single mum of 3 kids (14, 9, 6) and I work full time. I've got a degree in Criminology already and have just applied for a postgrad dip in psychology with a view to getting my MSc after. My question is....how do I fund it, as I plan to do this online whilst working full time. The uni have said they won't fund online post grad diplomas and because I have my own mortgage, I can't afford much else to pay out!
Any motivation would be great right now as I'm only seeing the negatives and it's putting me off!!

There is now postgraduate finance available from Student Finance. I have the finance for my MA I'm doing part time with the Open University. It was straight forward to apply for & I am getting it at the beginning of each term throughout the 3 years for my degree. Total finance for the course is £10280. It is repaid the same way as an undergrad loan, so a % after you earn more than 21k.

Awesome, thanks for the advice! Is it via the government website or a separate company?

student finance now fund, its just like funding for your degree (it'ts also just like it in the way student finance are absolutely useless Grin. But saying that at least all post grad education is now available for a loan to anyone. i'd also check about low income fee wavers ect with your chosen institution or course. I'm currently doing a part time MSc in information Management and I have a primary school aged child, a self employed partner and a baby on the way. I qualified for a 75% fee waver on the Msc which is normally 7500 pound and i was dreading having to yet again deal with student finance (i think for my degree they asked 4 times in total for my daughters birth certificate!).

But that aside its obviously a huge privilege to study and get funded through a loan for post grad courses so i'm not complaining too much! Anyway definitly check out your bursary options especially the fee waver for low income as well as going down the loan option.

Good luck @Clairebella82
