prob not. especially if you are both feeling dodgy rather than just got runny noses. they are a germ exchange anyway so wouldnt worry about that aspect too much.

tbh no - althou plenty of other mothers do and it really annoys me that I keep J off until he's clear and others don't have the same thoughts. so as soon as 1 goes he has 1 back again

Good god, of course I would (as long as we weren't feeling so shit we didn't feel like it) - if I stopped him going to things because he had a cold we'd never go ANYWHERE.

If he has a temperature though we stay at home.

I was thinking as much - I disagree with mums bringing ill babies too - just I'm really not looking forward to being stuck in the house all day with a sick toddler - esp as it's raining outside!

Absolutely - they usually pick these things up there anyway. If they clearly feel dreadful then no, but otherwise...

How could either of us realistically work if not as one of them has a cold most of the winter.

IdrisTheDragon · 23/04/2007 08:53

If it's a runny nose and feeling OK then I would take them. If not feeling OK then I wouldn't.

NannyL · 23/04/2007 10:39

yes i would!

If no child ever went to playschool with a cold for most of the winter theere would be no chilren there

Some kids have permament snotty nose. If they were kept at home then they would never get to experience nursery education.

If a child is obviously unhappy or has a temperature I would keep them at home. Otherwise I would have no problems sending my son with a cold
