Does your pre-schooler have a desk?

A friend was asking me where I had gotten my son's desk as she couldn't find one for his age anywhere. Ironically neither could I so he has one that is supposedly for a 6 year old. It got me thinking, is there just not a big market for desks for 3 year olds?

My kids (3 and 4) do but its an old school desk from the local village school that closed down.

Mines 5 and still doesn't have a desk - she has a little table and chairs where she has been having her snacks and doing colouring/craft since she was two. I guess those would be more common than a desk.

I'm expecting the table and chair that his wooden highchair turned into to last until he "needs" a desk for school homework.

Ikea do a lovely little table and chairs. Argos do a similar one.

I just use the IKEA ones. The blue one and the wooden one. Used everyday. Great quality and easy to clean

I've got a wooden table and chairs from Ikea. Had it for his 2nd birthday and still going strong now he's 3 and a half. Often eats at it, plays there, does crafts at it...Well worth the £20!

My 6 year old still uses it for some things!

My preschooler doesn't have a desk, we have the ikea table and chairs like pps though she mostly sits at the kitchen table. My reception child doesn't either, she does crafts and homework at the kitchen table too. I would expect it will be at least a year or two until she does homework in her room and needs a desk

We have the IKEA children's table and chair, but it's for play (or she has had food at it when friends were over, like at her birthday). Otherwise, no, I don't really see the point for young children. Even when they start school, the homework they have to do does generally require parent support and supervision or at least interaction, so it's much easier to sit at the dining table when we do it. I can't see her needing a desk in her room for several more years until she's doing school work independently.
