Should I expect a call from a Social worker or HV?

Last night 3 month old DD was having breathing issues so an ambulance came out for her, she was seen in A&E by a paediatrician and all is fine. I've heard that a trip to A&E means that a SW will get involved to check up on things.
However, as it wasn't an accident (such as a broken bone, cut, etc) should I expect a call or visit from a SW or HV?

A sw will only be called if abuse/neglect is suspected.

I fell down the stairs with ds and smacked his head of a wall, the hv was notified, but as they did not suspect abuse ss was not informed. Ds was about 9 months. Hv wasn't really that interested either.

We also went to hospital when ds has a reaction, again it was just the hv notifies and she called to make sure we were both okay. Ds would have been about 4/5 months.

When you had you dc you will have been asked to sign a form consenting to the hospital sharing information with hv. If you declined this, you may get a call from ss to check that your okay and that dc is fine. If they do call, don't panic, assuming your not harming your child they will have no further involvement. They may chat with you on the phone, or ask for an appointment.
